Week 2 Discussion Board/ DUE 9/1/17 @ 6pm

Read Ch. 4 ("Husbands and Wives, Parents and Children in Puritan Society") in your textbook, The Way We Lived. For discussion, please write a reaction to the readings. Compare and contrast the responsibilities of the family and the state in Puritan society with that of present-day America. Are there any elements of the "Good Manners for Colonial Children, 1772" or the "Statutes, Laws, and Privileges of Harvard College, 1700" that you would like to see supported or enforced in present day America?

Initial post of DB must be a minimum of 300 words respond to at least one of your peers with at least a 150 words. All DB post must have citations amd references listed. You cannot use "I agree" or "good job" in your posts.
